The vertical zig-zag nylon gear which was broken on my model 45. I had this replaced with a brass gear. The nylon gears were fitted because they were quieter than a metal version, although I noticed no difference.
Hi there, I have a Frister Dressmaker bought new in 1984 and i have just lost the snap-on zip foot that came with it, right in the middle of a sewing project, i ordered one from ebay which looks identical but the needle hits the foot every time it comes down, I bought an adjustable zip foot but it won't fit the shank of my machine, is there any way to get hold of an original foot made by FR? thanks, Vivienne
This is a lovely old lady! What I like about this machine is the exetrior motor thats on it.
